What did God give you today?

ree

If you are reading this, it is safe to say that God gave you life. He gave you today. Not only that, but He has kept so many promises to His people which have led to your being born. The first inconceivable promise He has kept was His promise with Abraham. Abraham was 99 years old and married to Sarai of a similar age when God made His covenant promise with him. He promised Abraham, then Abram, that he would be a father of many nations, as long as he walked blameless with God. This was God's promise from the beginning of time, and the results are visible today. This very day that you have life.

Hebrews 6: 13- 19

"For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying 'Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.' And so, after he had patiently endured, he obained the promise. For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek."

WE are called to persevere. Perseverance is the test of faith after all. We all will, have, or are facing mountains that must be climbed. This requires perseverance. For instance, the endurance and perseverance discussed last week, not only resulted in God saving Grace, but an abundance of faith that has established countless and priceless results. These results have been filled with joy, hope, faith, and love. AS I say repeatedly to my kids, anything worth doing is usually hard. Keep persevering this day and every day that you are blessed with that follows today.
