Do you believe that God is answering your prayers?

ree

After church yesterday we gathered outside with friends and my son and his girlfriend. I had been praying vigilantly in church. The service was so good and was speaking to what I had been praying about throughout the service. Life is constantly changing and requires us to trust all the more that God is lighting the way.

The changes that are occurring in my kids lives, and my life right now, are requiring me to trust God’s plans. Letting go as a Mom of older kids, brings me to my knees and calls for me to trust God and each one of them.

While standing outside the church after service yesterday, my oldest son said that he had overheard his brother talking to his friends the night before. He said that he wanted to get back early and wake up at 8 am. He also said he wanted to get on a good sleep schedule to his friends. After I heard this, my heart was so happy. For one thing, it confirmed that he has been listening to me. Secondly, God confirmed right in that moment that He has him. Prayers are being answered. I just need to continue to trust and obey.

What a good reminder on how to start this week; trust and obey. God has a plan for each and everyone of His children. Prayers are heard by God.

When the waters are rising, we are commanded to act, trust, and obey to help us through the storm. Walk closely with God and don’t stray too far from Him. He has plans for good for those who love Him and trust Him.

Jeremiah 7: 23

“but I gave them this command:

Obey me, and I will be your God

and you will be my people.

Walk in obedience to all I command you,

that it may go well with you.”
