Are you listening closely?

The sound of Christmas music fills the void of silence most every where we go this time of year. Some of the songs are peaceful, joyful and pleasant, and some make us want to rip our hair out. It is so important to allow ourselves time in peace and in God's word.

It is not so often in our busy days that we hear too many pleasantries coming at us from others. This can impact what we play on repeat internally to ourselves. However, this can be detrimental to our overall productiveness, peacefulness, and health.

What we speak to ourselves internally needs to be our focus on what we want to fill our days. It is not beneficial to repeat questions of "why or what did I do wrong?" The biggest blessings in life come when we allow God's word to fill our hearts. When we walk according to His calling, putting His words into practice in our daily lives.

Ezekiel 33: 22

"Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs

with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well,

for they hear your words but do not put them into practice."
