Ephesians 4:32- "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

What is love? It is a lot of things, but it is not a straight line. God made us first, yet gave us a longing to be united with others in a loving healthy way. He also gave us a desire to love and to be connected with one in a lasting union. No love is perfect, just as no human is perfect.

Loving others well often requires us to put others before ourselves. Again, we are back to sacrifice. commitment and discipline. The fact that every person has their own unique personality requires each relationship of two or more people to work together through communication, dedication and forgiveness. Love is a balance between give and take, hopefully with God in the center.

It is definitely easiest to love those who are kind to us. It is also easiest to love those who are tenderhearted. The reality is such that our lives are busy. We have many tasks to complete in a day, which can stress us out. This can impact how we react or treat others. This is the major reason God calls for us to forgive others. He has had a long practice of forgiving us our shortcomings. Forgiveness frees you from clouding your heart with negativity. Forgiveness does not require you to remain in an unhealthy relationship.

Jesus is Love.

Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Go Love Others Well, Just as God Loves Us!
