Today’s post will be shorter but packed with punch. I worked for hours upon hours over the weekend and yesterday to try to get our backyard soil ready to plant a garden. I'm hopeful that planting seeds to grow carrots, marigolds, and cucumbers will produce a yield.

Galatians 6: 8-9- “8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Just like hard work produces results. Hard work produces food to harvest, results in an award, and allows someone or many someone's to complete a marathon. I am not, nor will I ever be in that specific someone category, but my brother and his wife are in that category multiple times.

I also have several friends who have run and completed a marathon. The training for running 26 miles is rigorous and takes hours upon hours each day and every day of the week. Individuals who train for and run marathons are dedicated and disciplined to running, shopping for running wear, and washing running wear.

Remember to do that spiritual work for your soul, read God’s word in the Bible, talk with others about God, and study His word with believers. Don't give up, strive to get to know God through His promises that He’s made to each and every one of us. Strive to hear His promise.

It's good for your soul!
