How long must you wait?

Mom loved showing up and cheering for everyone.
Mom loved showing up and cheering for everyone.

This is a question that we often ask ourselves throughout life. Time can seem daunting when we are waiting and are faced with the unknown. However, God tells us to trust in Him. God's name is Yahweh, meaning "I am." The next time you find yourself asking how can I do this, if you turn to God, He will reassure you that "I am" taking care of this in my time. TRUST!

My Mom continues to sleep most of the day and night. She is still eating some food, more some days than others. She struggles to speak, and she is in pain which is being managed by pain medication. Throughout her life, she has been a good and faithful servant. This is who we are called to be, a servant. Servants serve, they are not the Master of their own lives. Remember to serve those you love with a willing heart, and "how" will be blessed with love that is present, "right now."

My Mom was surrounded with love on her birthday, and she was so happy. She saw all of her kids in the span of a week. She's had grandkids visit. Her sister and husband and her two kids came to visit with her. And my Dad has been by her side all along. She has been stripped of everything worldly. She lies in bed, but all those she has served throughout her lifetime have come to reciprocate that love by just being present with her.

She has been blessed with the greatest gift in this life, LOVE. Love comes from above. Don't let any doubt distract you from loving well. Make sure you turn to God when your love seems to subside. He says, to have LOVE, you must have HOPE. Hope sometimes presents itself in a new day. He gave us a new dawn every morning and the rising of the sun above to remind us where to turn when we sit with, how long?

I heard a pastor speak on the fact that Yahweh, is the sound of a breath inhaling and a breath exhaling. Try taking a breath in and listening to the sound, and now exhale. He also said that this is the name we will speak when we take our last breath... one last breath in and one last exhale... Yah...Weh...

"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope." -Psalm 130:5
