Kindness

Do you know the importance of kindness?

The act of being kind removes focus on self and transposes love to another. This act is beyond valuable. Unfortunately, the focus on kindness sometimes only comes when empathy is invoked. 9-11 is a time that stands out in my mind when I witnessed more acts of kindness in our country by so many people.
It shouldn’t take a tragedy to prompt kindness. Let's start another revolution of kindness & love. Willingly step out of your comfort zone and express love through an act of kindness. Trust me, you will be giving to someone, and receiving a gift at the same time.
The end of last week, I had chosen kindness as my topic for this week. Sure enough our sermon on Sunday was on kindness. It seems as though God is literally guiding me lately with topics. It was titled, "Kindness: God's Love Flowing Through You." The Pastor was a guest speaker at our church, Southbridge Fellowship. I have shared the sermon below. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
"but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,' declares the Lord."
-Jeremiah 9:24
"Therefore, as God's chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness,
humility, gentleness and patience."
-Colossians 3:12
