Living a life in Balance
Living a life in Balance

Living a life in balance can take time and practice. We are not expected to do this alone. It's important to be conscientious of those you chose to allow to walk with you through life. Does he or she seek out goodness? Living an abundant life is a quest which is desired by so many of us. Ultimately, we are training our thoughts and minds with the help of our God to focus on the goodness that exists for each and every one of us in each day.

Jesus referred to the abundant life, which described a life in balance. Having the gift of an active brain and passing this along to my children, has required me to learn balance throughout my life. Balance is something that I have preached over and over to my eldest son. He will dive in full-hearted to an idea or concept and disregard the other important areas in his life, which leaves him unbalanced. This doesn't just impact him, but also others who chose to walk with him in love.

A healthy life is intertwined with a healthy mind, a healthy heart, and requires balance. I use him as my example, because it is easier for me to see in him as opposed to myself. Although, he has gifted me with the ability to see this within myself. His light shines bright, and He brings joy to my life.

Each one of us is responsible for keeping a healthy mind. We are to guard what we allow to enter our minds, and what we allow ourselves to absorb and settle in our hearts. This will keep us grounded in the "truth." We are to hide in our hearts goodness, if we desire goodness to pour out from within our inner being. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." -Proverbs 23: 7

"My son, if your heart is wise,

My heart will rejoice---indeed,

I myself;

Yes, my inmost being will rejoice

When your lips speak right things."

-Proverbs 23: 15- 16
