What has worth in your life?

It has been an eye opening couple of weeks. A Godly man, who devoted his life to speaking the truth and reciting memorized Bible scripture, was murdered. Also, a good friend, of mine and my husband, had a “minor”heart attack while we sat alongside him on the beach. (In all honesty, there are only two types of heart attacks). Life is fleeting. We will all face death, each and everyone of us. What is worthy in your life?
People die everyday; unborn babies, children, teenagers, young adults, adults, and the elderly. The fact that we hold a space of love in our hearts for a human makes that individual valuable to us. Their death is felt throughout our entire being. It actually feels a bit like your heart is going to break, and that your own life may cease to make sense.
The death of a person whom you have loved in your life requires you to reach for purpose to keep going. To some that purpose is self-seeking, and to others a huge devotion and desire to guide others is instated.
The worth we have in life can be totally different from the worth we have in death, depending on where our focus has been in our life. Throughout our life it is invaluable to learn where that seed of love came from. Who planted that love seed in us from the very beginning of life?
Love is something each and everyone of us desires. Love feels really good; from conception, hugs, encouraging words and kind acts. Love is the greatest emotion we can receive in life. We desire love if we have been showered with it from our first days, and we also desire love if it was withheld from us from our early days. Love really is the purpose. As Jesus commanded the greatest request He made of us “is to love our neighbor, as ourselves.”
To Seek Love, to Create Love, to Spread Love, and ultimately to Return to Love is a-goal whether identified or hidden from ourselves. What a great purpose. Our worth is grounded in how well we have loved, and sought to know and understand the love that was hidden in us from the start of our lives. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
Maybe your worth is revealed from the start of life, to gain a complete understanding of love: Who planted the seed and desire of love? Do you long to be united with love for eternity when you die?
We sure do long for love in this life. My hope is to live with complete unfailing love with my Creator for eternity when I die. My desire is for all whom I love in this life to gain understanding and seek His righteousness, and His perfect unfailing LOVE. Seek to understand the worth of unending love by living a righteous life that is not self serving. God wants you to know that all are worthy of His love.
“Whoever does not Love, does not know God for God is Love.” 1 John 4: 8
